Budapest HU1963-The 1200 horsepower diesel engine and the other engineering equipments were all came from the USSR. The test runs were held from the spring of 1964 between Budapest and Mohács. During the tests the ship was supported all the calculations, moreover was able to emerge from the water with a less than calculated engine performance. Compared to the USSR built hydrofoils it has lower fuel consumption and a superior working life of the engine, plus was able to turn on a 100 m radius circle.1964-The ship was to be shown for the public in May 1964 during the Budapest International Market.1965-After finishing the tests that had been running for years, the ship gained also a critical acclaim amongst experts of the MAHART (Hungarian Shipping Co.). Suddenly, because of the arrival of the USSR built hydrofoils, the standardized production of the ”FECSKE” was not anymore needed. What is more, the USSR based company wanted no more engines to be given while they were also interested in the USSR export hydrofoils. The MAHART had not took the ship over, and the warranty claims of the Czechslovak Dunashipping for the experimental prototype ship were too much to undertake. The further developments were stopped and the first Hungarian hydrofoil was discarded.1968-FECSKE, Rebuiltwings were removed, a smaller diesel engine was built in, it became a small draft sightseeing ship.L:24,73m D:0,53m ▼Length overall: 24,73 m Beam: 4,19 m Draft: 0,53 m 1968-NADAP, SZOT Recreational Directorate of Trade Unions' Council Budapest HU Transpőorted to lake Velence.1986-NADAP, Velencei-tavi Shipping Co.
